Day-by-Day 3-Day Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and welcome
Arrive in the Bukavu area. Your guide meets you at the agreed arrival point after all current entry and transfer requirements are confirmed. Settle into your accommodation, enjoy an introductory briefing and learn about the region’s wildlife and conservation work.
Day 2: Explore the region
Set out for the Kahuzi-Biega experience only if the park has officially reopened and issued the required permissions. Follow ranger guidance through forest habitats and, if a gorilla visit is authorised, enjoy a carefully managed encounter. If access remains suspended, this activity cannot operate and an alternative route or date must be agreed.
Day 3: Wildlife and forest experience
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxed morning and transfer to the agreed onward point. The exact departure route depends on current border, transport and security conditions.
Accommodation and Travel Style
This itinerary is planned as a private guided safari, with a selection of comfortable mid-range or luxury accommodation depending on your preferred travel standard. Lodges, road transfers, border procedures and the precise order of activities will be confirmed in the final quotation. We prioritise well-paced travel and practical arrangements rather than promising journeys that cannot be operated.
Prices and Booking
Pricing is provided on request because the final cost depends on travel dates, lodge availability, transport routes, group size and authorised permit fees. Ask us for a detailed quotation for your proposed dates. Trekking permits, accommodation and all activities will be listed clearly in your final confirmation.

What to Know Before You Travel
Gorilla trekking normally requires a minimum age of 15 years. Expect uneven forest paths, variable weather and a need to follow ranger instructions. Your passport, visas, health documentation and permit arrangements must be checked for your exact travel dates. Please do not purchase Congo park permits or non-refundable travel services until authorised access is confirmed.
